Sydney FC v Central Coast Mariners  2  3.65

The Mariners may welcome Argentinean signing Patricio Perez this Saturday who will add some pace and creativity to a one-pace forward line and they may this as a great time to play the Sky Blues as they will be able to attack and not worry too much about what’s happening down the other end of the pitch.

In saying that, Central Coast have only scored two goals in three games and their attacking third may not be the area in which they excel indicating a draw is highly likely.

Napravio Bosanac u Dalmaciji prometni prekršaj i zaustavi ga policajac.
Daj Hajduku.

Aston Villa     v     West Ham  1  1.95Money mouthMoney mouthMoney mouth

 TEAM NEWS

James Milner has been named in Aston Villa's squad despite being on the verge of a move to Manchester City.

Defenders James Collins and Carlos Cuellar miss out with respective calf and hamstring injuries, but Curtis Davies should overcome a knee problem.

West Ham could give debuts to summer signings Pablo Barrera, Winston Reid, Tal Ben Haim and Frederic Piquionne.

Thomas Hitzlsperger is set to miss out against his former club after limping out of Germany's midweek friendly.

Aston Villa

Doubtful: Agbonlahor (hamstring), Davies (knee)

Injured: Collins (calf), Cuellar (hamstring), Delph (knee)

West Ham

Doubtful: Hitzlsperger (thigh)

Injured: Collison, Hines & Kurucz (all knee)

MATCH PREVIEW
Aston Villa begin the new season in a similar state of turmoil to how West Ham ended the previous campaign.

There's a big thing about the education Martin O'Neill has given us - the reserves, the youth-team coaches. Let's hope it stands us in good stead
Kevin MacDonald,
Villa caretaker manager
While the Hammers have regrouped since narrowly avoiding relegation, uncertainty has enveloped Villa Park following the sudden resignation of manager Martin O'Neill on Monday.

Reserve-team coach Kevin MacDonald takes temporary charge, as he did in the Premier League 16 years ago at Leicester after Brian Little left; ironically to become Villa's manager. MacDonald failed to win any of his three games in charge: his only point came at home to Villa, who he then joined as part of Little's coaching staff.

It remains to be seen how destabilising O'Neill's departure will prove to be. MacDonald will buy Villa time, but it is new signings the club needs to invest in after a barren summer so far.

West Ham's Avram Grant has endured his share of managerial travails at Chelsea and Portsmouth and will want stability for himself as much as his new employers. The rebuilding process is well underway, with half a dozen new faces added to their squad. Grant, though, has lost his first Premier League match in charge at both previous clubs.

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

• West Ham have won only one of their last 13 visits to Villa Park (W1, D7, L5). That was in January 2006 when Marlon Harewood scored the decisive penalty in a 2-1 Premier League victory.

• Villa's only defeat in the last eight meetings came at Upton Park last November.

Aston Villa

• Villa's 64-point tally last season was their best since they finished as runners-up in 1993.

• Their home record of 32 points from 19 matches was the worst in the top half of the table, and only 12th best overall.

• Villa have only won two of their nine home league matches in 2010, drawing six and losing to Blackburn on the final day of last season.

• They have won one of their last five opening-day fixtures - 4-2 at home against Manchester City in 2008 when Gabriel Agbonlahor scored a hat-trick.

• Stephen Warnock will be making his 200th career league start.

• Emile Heskey is poised to make his 500th career league appearance. He has scored 113 goals.

West Ham

• The Hammers have won four of their last five opening-day matches. Their only defeat in the last seven was 2-0 at home to Manchester City in 2007.

• Their only away victory last season came on the opening weekend against Wolves. West Ham's final away tally of nine points was the third lowest total in the top flight.

• New manager Avram Grant lost his first Premier League match at both previous clubs, with Chelsea and Portsmouth beaten by Manchester United.

• If fit, Thomas Hitzlsperger's West Ham debut will be his 100th Premier League appearance. His previous 99 matches came for Aston Villa between 2000 to 2005.

• Matthew Upson will be making his 300th club career start.

David Bentley and Jamie O'Hara are missing and Jonathan Woodgate is no closer to a first-team return.

Manchester City are poised to give debuts to their big-money summer signings Yaya Toure, David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Aleksandar Kolarov.

Shay Given is expected to be City's number one ahead of Joe Hart.

MATCH PREVIEW
Manchester City will be casting envious glances at Tottenham when the Londoners take on Young Boys of Bern on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League qualifying tie.

I think there are six or seven teams playing for fourth position because of Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham, so we will all play for fourth position
Man City boss Roberto Mancini
City's answer to narrowly missing out on the coveted fourth and final Champions League place to Spurs has been simple. They have spent, and spent big: signing four players at a cost of £75m, with James Milner and Mario Balotelli set to follow.

Expectations are sky high for City this season and unless the Premier League is under the shade of a blue moon come May, and their trophy cabinet is dusted down for the first time for 34 years, manager Roberto Mancini will be anxiously fearing for his future.

In contrast, Tottenham have had a quiet summer and signed just one player, Brazilian midfielder Sandro, which is remarkable by the standards of arch wheeler-dealer Harry Redknapp.

Their win over Liverpool on the first day of last season laid down a marker to the rest of the league. A repeat against City, in what is set to be a mouth-watering curtain raiser to the season, and Harry's boys will look a good bet to go fourth once again.

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

• Man City have lost to Tottenham more times than they have to any other club since the Premier League's inception (19).

• Spurs have beaten Manchester City in 11 out of their last 12 matches in the league - City's only victory came at home in March 2008.

• Eight of the last 11 Premier League matches between the sides have ended 2-1.

Tottenham

• Spurs set a Premier League record last season as they had 19 different goalscorers.

• Tottenham have managed to win just two of their last nine matches on the opening day of the season, but they did kick off the last campaign with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

• They play their first-ever match in the Champions League against Young Boys of Bern on Tuesday night.

Man City

• Manchester City's former Arsenal players, Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Adebayor, have excellent scoring records against Tottenham. Vieira has found the net on four of his last five visits to White Hart Lane and Adebayor has scored six goals in his last eight league matches against Tottenham.

• Roberto Mancini's side were the only team not to lose a game after scoring first in the Premier League last season.

• Gareth Barry will be making his 400th appearance in the Premier League.
